Chapter 2: Train for Action Study Guide

Pagkatapos mong basahin ang libro, it’s time to go deeper para ma-apply sa buhay mo ang mga leadership lessons mula sa buhay ng mga Super Heroes coupled with biblical principles.

Introduction

Start by listing the traits and the superpowers of your favorite Superhero. For groups, compare your list with each other. What are the common traits among the superheroes you listed?
Puwede bang maging Superhero kahit wala kang Superpower?
What really makes somebody a superhero?
If you are leading a group, magandang panoorin ang video ni Matthew Winkler “What Makes a Hero” at ng Super Sikat na si Stan Lee (creator ng maraming Marvel comic superheroes) “What Makes a Superhero”. Ask the members of the group for their reaction to the videos. Please go to the bottom of this post to watch the videos.

Chapter Summary

Walang superpowers si Batman a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, pero he started training and using his resources to become a Superhero.

“It may take time for you to discover your extraordinary purpose, pero pwede ka nang mag-umpisang mag-train ngayon pa lang.”

Kailangan ng discipline at hard work to train and become an expert.

Read: Luke 2:52

“Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.”

Questions for Reflection & Discussion

  • How can you start developing intellectually?
  • How can you start exercising and doing more physical activities regularly?
  • What are the most common obstacles that will prevent you from doing this?

Chapter 1: Great Power Equals Great Responsibility Study Guide

Pagkatapos mong basahin ang libro, it’s time to go deeper para ma-apply sa buhay mo ang mga leadership lessons mula sa buhay ng mga Super Heroes coupled with biblical principles.

Introduction

Start by thinking about your favorite superheroes.
What did you like about them?
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
If you’re leading a group, you can also watch the video clips of how Peter Parker got bitten by an irradiated spider. Go to the bottom of this post to see the videos.

Chapter Summary

According to Rob Salkowitz, author of Young World Rising, there are three forces reshaping the world of the 21st century: Youth, Information and Communications Technology, and Entrepreneurship.

Anong masasabi mo sa kuwento ni Jayjay? What can we learn from him?

Mayroon tayong three choices:

  • It’s all about the money, money, money.
  • Enjoy-enjoy lang!
  • Be #SuperEpic.

Read

Ecclesiastes 11:9-10 (NLT)

Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.

Questions for Reflection and Discussion?

  • Masama bang mag-enjoy enjoy?
  • Saan ba nauubos ang oras mo araw-araw?
  • Paano mo gagamitin ang Information and Communication Technologies to make a difference?
  • May mga kilala ka bang kabataan who are already doing #SuperEpic things? What can you learn from them?

Lipad na!

What small steps can you do next week to start becoming #SuperEpic?

5 Reasons Why You Should Consider Moving to the Province

The urban jungle can be an uncaring and difficult place to live in. The daily commute to and from the office can be such a pain that you’re left drained of energy by the time you get home in the evening (or morning, if you’re in the graveyard shift). But for most yuppies, this is where we live and work.

Interestingly, Ms. Cheng Veniles of JobsDB Philippines said that more and more job seekers are choosing work based on location. Besides, some cities in the provinces are emerging places to work for.

So if you’re tired of the traffic, floods, pollution, and the overpopulation, you have one viable alternative.

That is to move to the province. In this article, I’ll share with you 5 reasons why you should consider moving to the province.

Can you still live in a world without Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube?

That’s kinda difficult to imagine right?

These technologies have pervaded our lives that the first thing we reach out for in the morning is our Smartphones. We even fight sleep as we promise ourselves just one more peek at our favorite Social Media accounts.
