Hello friends, in the past couple of weeks, I’ve posted several thoughts on youth and young adult ministries of the United Methodist Church in the Philippines. One of my posts that received attention is on campus ministry. That’s why I am posting here the model and concept paper that I have prepared over the past few months. If you want to implement this, please go ahead. Just give credit where credit is due. Thanks!
This is Part 1 of a 6-part Series.
Please read the Introduction here: http://pinoyyouth.org/a-campus-ministry-model-for-the-umc-intro/
PHASE 1: Training of Campus Missionaries
Participants: By-invitation-only. They will come from existing campus ministries of the United Methodist Church—from the local churches, districts, and conferences who have spearheaded a campus ministry. A maximum of 20 participants will be trained for the initial run.
Training Modules
The training will last for 5 days and is meant to prepare the trainees for deployment to the campuses within a few weeks after the training. Each module will last for about 2 hours each and will be followed by group processing and action planning (1.5 hrs).
